Who is Aniruddh Singh? :-

Anirudh Singh (born 1975) is a police officer, encounter specialist and actor of the Uttar Pradesh Police, who is currently serving as Deputy Superintendent of Police in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh since his appointment in June 2020.

There have been 26 encounters, including some Naxalites and terrorists. He gained immense popularity during his tenure in Varanasi, Jaunpur and Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh in 2005.

In addition to his police career, he has acted in several Hindi and Telugu-language films, mainly playing the role of police, including Dr. Chakraborty (2017), Guns of Banaras (2020) and Bhuj: The Pride of India ( 2020).

He is often referred to by the Indian media as Singham of UP, Real Life Singham and Real Life Simba.

In May 2016, he was suspended for his continued absence due to film shooting, when he was posted as an inspector at the Crime Branch in Allahabad.


How Real Cop Become a Hero :-

Anirudh Singh joined the UP State Police in 2001 as a sub-inspector. He has so far recorded 26 criminals in Uttar Pradesh, including some Naxalites and terrorists.

In 2004, he had his first encounter with Jhuna Rai, an alleged criminal and shooter of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari.

In 2005, during his deployment to Varanasi, he came to prominence when he was attacked by a criminal for fear of being arrested. Despite being shot dead, he single-handedly killed the culprit in the encounter. However, his superiors called the incident a public outrage.

In 2007, he got promoted after killing a Naxalite and Maoist commander Sanjay Kaul in an encounter. Anirudh Singh also served in the UP Crime Branch.

In June 2020, he was appointed DSP of Badaun, UP.

Anirudh Singh made his acting debut with Shekhar Suri’s Telugu-language thriller film, Dr. Chakraborty, where he played the role of ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) in the film, which was released in 2017.
